Grandma, you make the best cookies!

Here's Cameron on the day after our return from Nova Scotia, eating the last of the most precious booty of Grandma's cookies. Thanks Grandma!!

The funnest thing in Nova Scotia....

is Grandpa's tractor!
First trip around the yard, Cameron sits quietly on Grandpa's lap. Second pass, he's standing up in front of Grandpa, hands on the steering wheel. Third time going by, I see him taking Grandpa's hands and pulling them off of the steering wheel so that HE can steer. "You kidding - I've got this thing mastered!"

Quality time in Nova Scotia

And nothing says quality time like freshly ground coffee beans - good job with the grinder, Cameron! That's what he's doing in the bottom pic, although the bag of coffee beans is blocking the shot.

Canada Day Weekend

A morning at the beach, breakfast outdoors, and the annual Sarnia Canada Day parade. Fun!

Nothing refreshes like applesauce

On a hot summer day, nothing refreshes like cool, cool, applesauce. Next time you're dining outside, generously apply applesauce directly to the forehead. Massage gently. For best results, swim in a kiddie pool shortly after.

I can use a fork .... sort of

Cameron's dexterity with eating utensils is increasing, but meals are still a messy business! Most times he dives in with his hands, too. I guess I'll take that as a sign that he likes my cooking!

Growing up

It strikes me as I look at these photos, the first one in particular, how Cameron is becoming more of a little boy and less of a baby now.

Kisses for George

How sweet! Cameron's taken to giving kisses to George when he pops out of his music box. Of course, who couldn't resist the odd chomp amidst all the kisses?

King of the Castle

His royal highness oversees all doings of the household from the vantage point of his exalted throne. With a wave of his royal broom, he be-knights the feline members of the house (although they're not too happy about it).

it's c-c-c-c-c-c-old!

Ah, the dead of winter. This day was so cold that we were able to stay outside for all of 15 minutes. Poor Cameron - his eyes were just streaming with tears from the cold. Definitely an instance of it taking longer to get dressed and/or undressed in all the boots/hats/mittens/etc. that the amount of time you can spend outside!

If I get wet, we all get wet!

Lately, Cameron's taken to giving us hugs throughout his bath - great big, wet hugs! They're too sweet to resist, but we pretty much know we're going to have to change our shirts afterwards. Even more recently, splashing has become the game of choice. Witness a very wet Bryan.

The Chalice

My grandma and grandpa gave me this awesome bath toy for Christmas. My mom and dad call it "the chalice".... I just call it good, thirst-quenching fun! Who needs a bottle when you've got one of these babies?!

Grammie and me are reindeer!

Cameron is pretty squirmy now, it's hard to get a picture of him standing still. It's worse trying to get a picture of him wearing a hat. This shot took 5 people a prop and about 20 takes: he's almost wearing it.
